Following her recent eviction from Big Brother Naija Season 9, Chinwe sat down for an interview on *Outsyd by Pulse* to discuss her time on the reality show. During the interview, she was candid about various topics, including her relationship with Zion, her stance on their alleged sexual activity in the house, and the rumors of her being pregnant.
Addressing Zion’s Claims: “I Cannot Speak on It”
When asked about her feelings regarding Zion allegedly telling fellow housemate Fairme that they had sex in the house, Chinwe remained composed. She chose not to directly address the claim, emphasizing that she wasn’t fully informed about the conversation and didn’t want to jump to conclusions.
“I don’t know, I am not privy to that information so I cannot speak on it. Coming from an angle that my words have been taken out of context and misunderstood, it would be unfair of me to base my feelings on that conversation before even having proper knowledge of what was said,” Chinwe explained.
Owning Her Choices: “I’m Going to Own My Shit”
Chinwe made it clear that she had no regrets about her actions in the house, including any intimacy that may have occurred between her and Zion. She highlighted the fact that they entered the house as a couple and viewed their relationship as a natural part of their experience on the show.
“I will just let it slide; it is what it is. We went in there as a couple so if we were intimate in the house, that’s the kind of stuff couples do, so I’m going to own my shit regardless. I have no regrets whatsoever; I am a grown-ass woman, and I own my shit,” Chinwe asserted confidently.
Shutting Down Pregnancy Rumors: “That Was an Ignorant Take”
The conversation then shifted to address the rumors circulating about Chinwe possibly being pregnant, speculation that was sparked by her missing her period during her time in the house. Chinwe was quick to dismiss these rumors, calling them ignorant and explaining the real reasons behind her missed period.
“I think that was an ignorant take; people miss their periods for various reasons. It could be stress-induced; it could be a hormonal imbalance or anxiety. I suffer from an anxiety disorder, so whatever the situation was, it was certainly not down to me being pregnant,” she clarified. Chinwe then lightened the mood, adding with a laugh, “Don’t get me wrong, being pregnant is a good thing, but right now, Mama is still single.”
Moving Forward: “I’m Still Single”
Chinwe also revealed that she and Zion had officially split up, marking the end of their relationship after leaving the BBNaija house. Despite the breakup and the challenges she faced during and after the show, Chinwe expressed no regrets and remains focused on her future.
Chinwe’s interview provided insight into her experience on BBNaija, her personal life, and how she’s handling the aftermath of her time on the reality show. As she moves forward, she does so with a clear sense of ownership over her choices and a determination to live her life on her terms.
