The new episode not gonna lie brought back some ghost and Tommy vibes from past seasons. Well, things started off from where the last episode ended just as it is with all of the episodes. Tariq and Brayden just flipped their cars, intending to use the proceeds to get back in the game and most importantly without Noma noticing anything.
Elsewhere in the episode had the spotlight on the Tejada’s with Diana all repentant and wanting to get out of the game for good. But Dru, on the other hand, had finally settled for the life, putting his mind to it and looking to gain favor in Noma’s eyes.
Obi’s death in the hands of Noma
Onto other activities, as the episode is starting to heat up, Obi is still in police custody with the matter of green card in the midst of it all, and with the detective Carter looking to explore every possible angle in order to get through to Tariq, is not planning to let him go on the cheap.
Dru however came to his rescue, but after initially promising to keep his secret from Noma, betrayed him which ultimately led to his (Obi) death in the hands of Noma. Obi’s death was somehow painful to watch in the sense that he had been a loyal servant and soldier and also that he died looking out for his family.
The Lawyer Teaming up With Tariq
Let’s not forget about the lawyer who is currently coming short on funds with his situation still not settled. It was actually a wise move from Tariq to involve him in his plan in meeting with a connect. And yes, the lawyer had no choice as he was desperate and also needed the cash more than ever.
Tariq and Brayden Promise
Tariq and Brayden already promised to always keep each other in the loop going forward, but from the way things are going, it seems like one decision that will come back and bite them later in the future or even soon. Tariq’s plan to get back in the game had him setting up the dealer he was supposed to work with up in order to take over his territory and also starting a drug war that would somehow take attention from him.
Cane and Noma Entanglement
Cane and Noma seem to be getting into an entanglement and Effie is not so happy about it. and Cane also has his suspicions about how the drugs found in Stansfiled came about, so there’s already tension between the couple’s (Cane and Effie) relationship.
The Tejada’s Family Dinner
Finally, the episode ended on a high as the secret of who leaked information to Tommy’s mother that ultimately led to the shooting of Monet came to light. The information couldn’t have come at a worse time as Monet is trying to make amends with her kids and trying to cut them in as partners in her new business venture. Diana and Dru had to leave the scene immediately with Cane following them with his gun drawn but just couldn’t take a shot.
It kind of sets the tone of how the next episode is going to pan out and also keeps viewers in suspense.
