Crushing on the Guitarist: A Love Rekindled

Precious Sapilo - August 1, 2024

I was with my ex when I got to know my present fiancé. My fiancé was the adorable lead singer/guitarist of a well-known local band, but I didn’t give it much thought at the time because I wasn’t single and he had a little drinking issue.

I developed a tiny crush on him even though I had only seen him a few times at gigs over the years. He had a great sense of confidence and musical ability. The way his music could electrify a room full of people and get them moshing, dancing, and singing along was quite remarkable.

In the end, the ex-boyfriend cooled off in our final six months of dating until I ended things. I later discovered that my weight gain was the reason he didn’t have sex with me. After a period of singledom, I began exercising and eating well, dropped some weight, and eventually ran into the attractive but somewhat wounded musician once more. The rest is history.

It appears that he is a giant teddy bear! Huge big baby with my dog, not afraid to cry in front of me, never once said anything to intentionally hurt me, always apologizes when he’s wrong, forehead kisses, random foot massages, takes me to the library whenever I ask, surprise flowers, and calls me beautiful out of the blue. I constantly feel so cherished. (Plus, the sex is fantastic and is still happening often after two years!)

Thus, I suppose, musician, lovers’ pals, sun-grumpy, cinnamon roll MMC? It also turned out that for all those years, he harbored a slight infatuation on me!
